Biography
Leigh Johanson, PA-C, is a physician assistant in general orthopedics located at Mission Hospital McDowell. Leigh earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Daemen College in Amherst, NY. After completing her studies she moved to Asheville where she has worked in both orthopedics and primary care since 2010.
Leigh’s background in athletics, particularly soccer, was the initial driving force behind her interest in the human body and all of its complexities. With each patient she cares for, she uses the knowledge from her personal and professional experiences to try and give them the best outcome possible.
Leigh spends the majority of her free time caring for her two children and enjoying the many outdoor activities that Asheville has to offer.
